The Women Cell of Satya Ranjan College is established in the February, 2018, aiming to make the College a buoyant center of gender sensitization, to fulfill the requirements of women empowerment and gender equality of the nation and to organize academic, cultural, physical and social events for the promotion of women. The Cell has ambitions of instilling positive self-esteem and self-assurance in female students, so that they can take right choices for their lives and inspiring them to be self-sufficient and economically self-governing. Also, the Cell intends to make them alert on ways of sexual, physical and psychological violence, and to train them with more knowledge and power to fight against various types of abuse and insult. Besides, the Cell has the target to aware all female students about the need for gender equality and provides them equal career opportunities in all reasonable fields where they can fit themselves. However, the mission of the Cell is to make understanding the students about social, legal and constitutional rights of women to prevent gender based exploitation and to eliminate deep rooted beliefs of gender inequality and discrimination.
Keeping in mind the above mentioned aims and objectives the Cell has been constituted with members from both teaching and non-teaching staff and students of the College. The Cell is reconstituted for the sessions 2021-2022 to 2022-2023 by the following members.
