In pursuance of the National Action Plan of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore, for performance evaluation, assessment and accreditation and quality up-gradation of institutions of higher education, the NAAC proposes that every accredited institution establish an Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) as a post-accreditation quality sustenance measure. Since quality enhancement is a continuous process, the IQAC will become a part of an institution's system and work towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance. The prime task of the IQAC is to develop a system for conscious, consistent and catalytic improvement in the performance of institutions. The IQAC will make a significant and meaningful contribution in the post-accreditation phase of institutions. During the post-accreditation period, the IQAC will channelize the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence.
The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Satya Ranjan College was set up in the year 2017. However, due to lack of manpower & having very limited number of permanent teaching faculty members and also due to some financial constraints, the activities of IQAC could not have been implemented at a large scale. However, from the year 2021, after getting new permanent appointments of teaching faculties at its full strength, the activities of IQAC gained momentum. The IQAC of Satya Ranjan College was also reconstructed on dated 17.02.2022, as per the Govt. Order No-AHE.544/2021/9 dated 11th February 2022 issued by the Higher Education Department, Govt. of Assam and formed 7 new sub-committees to expedite NAAC accreditation.
Now, the IQAC is ready to make a significant contribution in the pre-accreditation phase of the institution and taking oath to extend and continue its effort for having meaningful contribution in the post-accreditation phase of the institution. During the post-accreditation period, the IQAC will channelize the efforts and measures of institution towards academic excellence and quality up-gradation.
